Servings 1 .5 cups of croutons

Ingredients

  • Half a loaf of old baguette
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300F – a toaster oven is the perfect size.
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, using your hands, toss well so that everything is well incorporated into the bread.
  • Spread the bread on a sheet pan, laying them flat with some space in between. Bake the bread cubes for about 10 - 15 minutes, or until slightly golden brown and crisp. Older bread will brown faster than fresher bread. Keep an eye on this job to make sure it doesn’t burn.
